FAQ

📶 How far does the signal reach?
It's built for hitching, when the camera is a few steps from the cab. On long trailers the signal can drop, so keep your phone near the rear window.
📵 My phone says the WiFi has no internet.
That's normal. The camera's WiFi only carries the video. Stay connected and open the JoyTrip app.
🔌 How do I charge and turn it on?
Plug the USB-C cable from the box into any USB charger or port (charger not included). Hold the power button until the light comes on.
🌧️ Is it waterproof?
The maker doesn't list a waterproof rating. Use it to hook up, then take it off. Don't leave it outside in rain or snow.
🚗 Can I use it as a backup camera for my car?
It's made for hitching. The magnets need steel, and it runs on a battery, so it isn't meant to stay on a car all the time.
📱 Can I look at my phone while driving?
Only while you're reversing slowly to hitch, with your phone in a mount. Follow your local hands-free driving laws.
